Repair work needed on concrete tiled roof
We were really happy with Darren and his team. We needed some major problems to be addressed on our roof as a condition of our mortgage, which in the end involved the roof having to be completely recovered and reinforced. Darren provided us with clear advice and a very competitive quote. Throughout the job itself, communication was really good and at all times we were happy that we knew what was going on. Darren also took time out of his weekend to ensure that the scaffolding put up prior to the job was adequate. The job did overrun by a couple of days and there were some additional costs, but Darren fully explained these to us and we felt that they were reasonable and justified. Danny, who works at the offices, also made sure that we had all the necessary paperwork needed to satisfy the mortage company, and this was received promptly and was very thorough. We also received a guarantee for the work. The new roof looks great - the old, heavy concrete tiles were replaced with Marley Eternit Trutone tiles which are a huge improvement. The roof has also been really well reinforced internally. We would be happy to recommend Darren and his team.

    Roof Leak
Darren, who is behind Resolution Roofing, is highly unreliable and definitely inconsistent. His estimations were completely wrong and we ended up paying three times more than the price originally agreed. We found out that there was another leak on our roof and unfortunately I am still waiting for him to come and fix it now after one month of rearrangements and change of plans. I am sorry to say this but he is to be avoided, if one wants his job done quickly, effectively and on time.

    Answer from tradesperson:

The review system for My Builder does not allow a company to dispute negative feedback which is a shame. Mr Tassos has been unreasonable and has outstanding invoices with Resolution Roofing. We are very sorry we were unable to commit to the additional requested work, however, Darren, who is part of the management team at Resolution Roofing tried to save as much money for Mr Tassos as he could by attempting to repair his valley on the main roof. This proved unsuccessful, so the valley had to be replaced and the cost of the initial repair was deducted from the cost of the new valley, preventing Mr Tassos having to spend money unnecessarily.
