Daz fixed a leak under bathroom sink and also the toilet flush in a timely, efficient and professional manner. He explained everything in a transparent way and I am happy with the quality of his workmanship. I have absolutely no hesitation to unreservedly recommending Daz. In addition, he is a most affable character.Review from Customer of Plumb-it Installations Customer of Plumb-it Installations
Review left on 5 Oct 2016Rating: 5 out of 5Need a quote for an outside mixer tap. There is a cold water feed tap outside at the moment but it is needed for cleaning dogs down as I am a dog walker. This is for the back of the property but if the price is competitive one will also be needed at the front of the property where there is also a cold water feed tap.
Darren gave me a very competitive quote did the job when he said he would. First class job. Very polite and a very clean worker. Would definitely recommend him. 10/10. MikeReview from Customer of Plumb-it Installations Customer of Plumb-it Installations
Review left on 2 Oct 2016Rating: 1 out of 5Replace radiator and move pipes
I hired Darren to move rad pipe centres prior to room being replastered & fit new rad. He set the pipe centres too wide so I had to pay for extensions. He'd apparently noticed the new rad was damaged when he got it out of the box but went ahead & installed it without telling me so I lost any opportunity to get a replacement. Only 1 of the fixing brackets was flush to the wall; he admitted he wasn't happy with it but reassured me it would be secure until he could return to rehang the radiator at a later date. But 2 days later I found that my brand new carpet was saturated due to a leak as the pipe extension was fitted by 1 thread & had not been sealed with PTFE tape. I called out British Gas who said they couldn't fix 'a bodge job' but would stop the leak. ONE VALVE was loosened & the radiator fell off the wall due to the whole weight being taken by 1 olive. The weight pulled the pipe out of the newly decorated wall causing extensive damage. He's said he's 'willing to help' rectify the situation but seems to think that sentence is enough as at no point in the last 3weeks has he told me how or when he intends to do this & I've not heard from him for a week now. I've given him more than enough opportunity put this right It doesn't bear thinking about that this rad could've fallen off the wall onto my toddler at any time. I'm taking legal action in order to recoup my extra costs of getting this disaster fixed. This is not what I wanted to be dealing with when 7 months pregnantAnswer from tradesperson:
I'm shocked at this feedback from Claire. First of all the job was to originally just chase pipes into the wall, I was then asked if I could hang the new Radiator once it arrives at a later date, which I kindly agreed to do. There was no worksheet to work from and no radiator to measure from, everything was measured and done from the information she gave me verbally on the day. This feedback is out of spite because the new Radiator had a tiny rust mark on it that wasn't noticed by me or her. I've offered to rectify the job but she wants me to buy her a new radiator because of this tiny rust mark. She threatened to leave negative feedback if I didn't agree to this. I would rather take the negative feedback than be blackmailed.
