A 4.5m x 7m rear extension on a bungalow has just been completed. I chose P J Builders because the detailed quote was competitive and the proprietor had a positive attitude to the project. I saved money as he didn't demand plans drawn up by an architect. He was willing to work with my plans once building regulation requirements had been passed.
His total invoice for the extension was very close to the original quote and additional work for plastering in adjoining rooms, widening the opening to a velux window and fitting a dry verge was done for a reasonable charge.
Members of his work force are multi-skilled, polite and helpful. He also uses a bricklayer, an electrician, a roofer and a heating engineer who are experts in their fields.
The work was completed in seven weeks and during this time every effort was made to minimise the effect of major building work on the household. The bungalow now has much more living space and its appearance is enhanced by the extension which blends in very well.
