Review left on 10 Jul 2018Rating: 5 out of 5installation of stair banister and spindles(Updated on 3 Apr 2019)The job was successfully completed yesterday, a much better solution to a problem than I had imagined - Mr Hogan was approachable and listened to my ideas with respect, and between us we came up with a plan for an attractive piece of carpentry, with time and skill taken by him and his son to ensure a precise finish, and at an affordable price. I will have no hesitation in recommending them, I wish I had found them years ago, so thank you, My Builder!Review from cgoater, Weymouth cgoater, Weymouth
Review left on 19 Jun 2018Rating: 5 out of 5Small shelf in the kitchen(Updated on 3 Apr 2019)The work was completed speedily as no materials needed to be ordered, at a reasonable cost. The resulting shelf looks good and the builders were friendly and left the kitchen as tidy as they found it. Overall very pleased.Review from sheppy_37, Weymouth sheppy_37, Weymouth
Review left on 27 Apr 2018Rating: 1 out of 5Urgent: Re-fit kitchen(Updated on 8 May 2018)I reluctantly agreed to pay Peech & Son builders on a day rate, This turned out to be mistake, works done, or rather not" amounted too TWO weeks for TWO men. £3,000 Builder said he would supply invoices, none supplied. Stud wall not straight, plasterboard when applied with be proud, causing a ledge. Added extra support to bottom of stairs, the works carried out for this comparatively small job, totally inadequate. Never got around to kitchen units" very poor, blames the customer for everything, said I changed my mind, completely untrue, needed stud partition to place the units on, terminated further works with this builder. Overall as a single woman, I felt patronised and bullied by this builder.Answer from tradesperson:
We were going to let this rant go, but as a customer commented I thought I'd better put things right and warn other tradesmen. I first encountered Julie as she begged for us to ' get me out of this mess and please please TELL me what to do', this went on and on, one hour the beautiful house was going to be two separate homes, then a B+B then one house, this changed daily backwards and forwards. As she had dismissed her previous builder, telling us the same as she has stated above against us, we explained to her that the previous builder would have had his program of works in his head.....this we had to guess = time + time. Nobody on earth knew what was wanted we couldn't give a set price which was a good professional choice by us and our electricians as her plans changed almost hourly. Material invoices offered at cost but she refused to pay. Once our intermediate bill was sent she took it on herself to tell us how much, how long things were going to be..... all cuckoo land, and so we declined and that's when we were left without payment by what we now know is an amateur property developer. A property developer with no experience of period properties. Single Woman? As are 80% +of my customers. I now really feel for the poor guy that went in before us and no wonder he ended up on tranquillisers. Please, tradesmen/women Such a pity as this historic property handled sympathetically would still be be an asset to the village. Please look at all our feedback.

Good communication throughout, even though I was on the other side of the Atlantic while the work was going on. Review left on 15 Sep 2017Rating: 5 out of 5Built in cupboards
Peach did a wonderful job of the built in cupboards and they were just as I wanted. As they had done such a good job I asked if they could do some other work for me. I had cavity wall insulation removed after a problem with damp. This had made a mess of inside and outside the house. Peech has now sorted this and has replastered inside, addressed the damp problem and painted the outside of the house. This has been much admired. Great job thanks.Review from steve_t_39, Weymouth steve_t_39, Weymouth
