Richard is v efficient and quick at giving me both a quote and getting the job done. He is v reliable and personable.

I provided Richard with a technical drawing of the planned works for my kitchen as the items had already been purchased from a major high street outlet. Richard then re-measured the actual kitchen to make sure the kitchen measurements were in line with what was placed on the drawing, only to find that the measurements on the drawing were marginally out by a few inches here and there. And so with the kitchen cabinets already purchased, he informed me that some items may not fit due to the incorrect measurements taken to prepare the drawing, but will try his hardest to install what was purchased. he then measured the area again to check his own findings and to make sure the lengths were as he originally found. With this in mind, I informed Richard that I'm happy to see what he can fit and advised him that I would pull out my old kitchen cabinets in order for him and his team to come onsite to a blank shell, thus allowing works to proceed without any hold-ups. From my first meeting of Richard I knew I could leave him with a spare key to come and go as he pleased while carrying out the refurbishment, thus me not having to take time off from work. Richard quoted me 2 weeks to carry out the following:- prepare and tile hallway, as well as the kitchen diner,install flat pack kitchen cabinets and cupboards, sink, worktops, integrated fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher complete with self cleaning extractor fan. Works were started at a superb rate, until what Richard called a "Pandora Box" and opened up a few problems from beneath the surface of my kitchen refurbishment - therefore his schedule was slightly put out due to electrical cabling problems, and bumpy walls which need to be put right in order for the cabinets to be hanged correctly. With this in mind Richard informed me of the extra cost that were involved and I happily agreed to this to move the project forward in order for my kitchen to be safe. Due to the additional works, and a few additional changes by my Partner and I the job was finished just over the 2 week period but to say that I'm over the moon would be an understatement on the finish of the kitchen. The mitre joint worktops are superb and create that seamless flow right around the kitchen. As a final note, I would recommend Richard and his Team to anyone that crosses my path, as his attitude and workmanship are of good quality and a builders number I will keep on file for a long time. This was a small job. The old partition was taken down and rubbish removed and was all tidied up. I did not see the person who actually did the job but Richard had to come back and redo the installation as it was not level and the cistern dripped. When the levelling was fixed the cistern was only half filling so I had to adjust it myself. I overadjusted and found the overflow pipe leaked. So I had to reseal that, and readjust. The walls were plastered in a very bumpy fashion and even after the second attempt I will still have to sand it all down. The wall unit was hung too high and no thought was given to the placement of the shaving socket. The shaving socket had to be moved and I took the wall cabinet down because I had made a mistake and it did not look right. Although the price was good at £350 I had the impression that a few more goods were bought than there should have been because mistakes were made. The old toilet was reused as the bought toilet did not fit. Although everything is now functional and Richard has offered to replace the toilet he will expect to be paid for that in addition to the original quote. I was not delighted and I felt somewhat pressured by Richard's very flustered and assertive manner. I recommend that if Richard does a job for you you make sure you can supervise the work and make sure he focusses on your job.

What can I say - Richard knows what he does and what he wants and how to run that business and his friends. Job description - walls underpinning, waterproof mambrane, new floor, new ventilation, new panel floor, very good quality plastering, carpentry and decorating. Happy to recommend them. Electrician checked my installation as arranged. I got the report of defects and recommendations. I already know what to do my installation to comply with BS 7671 16th edition of IEE wiring regulations. I am happy to give that project to Richard's team. Many thanks

Job consisted of taking down existing ceiling and reinstating same. Reinstate new covings and Roses. Painting ceiling, stripping walls and painting same, painting woodwork etc. All the above works were done to a high standard and on time. Richard is a very pleasant person to deal with, he is very polite, takes great care of what he does. He leaves the premises very clean and tidy. He has also pointed out various things which I was unaware of and rectified these. He has done the works to a very high standard and am pleased to have found him. I will have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs work to be done! In fact, I have given his details to various colleagues who saw the work he has done for us and was very impressed. He is now in the process of reinstating a new gutter and putting a lead sealing outside the house. What can I say about Richard and his team. To say I am happy with the quality of the work would be an understatement to say the least. They kept in touch and let me know what time they would arrive, arrived on time. worked for 5 hours solid without a break (a few cups of tea of course though!), and left me with fitted worktops and two holes cut out for the hob and sink - correct positioning and size. I was worried about doing the worktops myself, although a competent DIYer (so I like to think) - I would have had to purchase my own jig and router so decided that it just wasn't worth the cost and I would get it done properly. I had several quotes from this site, including some ridiculous amounts. Richard's quote was very reasonable. The job was carried out to the highest standards of professionalisim. The main chap on the team was a master carpenter with 12 years experience who of course had all the correct gear - router, jig, biscuit cutter etc. The quality of the job is stunning - the joints were properly mason mitered and colourfilled so they are as close to invisible as possible. The only additional thing I have had to do since they left was to put some more sealant around the cut edges of the holes- this in any case was not something I asked them to do - I asked them solely to cut the holes in the worktop for me which was also done superbly. I would absolutely get these guys in again - in fact I have some other work coming up soon and these guys will get first refusal for it. Mine was not the easiest of jobs, but Richard went out of his way to ensure that it was completed to a very high standard. My new patio and garden walls are excellent. I would be happy to engage him to undertake other work for me. He is reliable, honest and it was a pleasure to have working him in my home and highly recommend him.
