Used MX2 Electrical Ltd through MyBuilder for an EICR. Unfortunately we had problems straight afterwards — lights that had worked fine for seven years failed the next morning, and the cost to put things right kept climbing (£120, then a further £250 quoted just to investigate). We decided to go elsewhere. A disappointing experience overall.Answer from tradesperson:
We completed the original job through AM on MyBuilder on time, submitted the report, and were paid as agreed. The following day, the landlord contacted us directly about a separate electrical issue. We completed the work and were paid directly by the customer. This negative review is not about the quality of our work. It is because AM wanted to profit from work they were not involved in. We have all the chat records and evidence to prove this. AM does not carry out the work themselves—they simply add extra costs for customers while local tradespeople do the job. We are a local electrician based near the customer, while AM is based in London. Ask yourself: how does a company in London win jobs in Weymouth without adding unnecessary costs?
