All thanks to MyBuilders.com for making it possible for me to hire Mike Smart of MDS Plastering. Mike attended as scheduled, he explained what he was going to do and he took his time in executing the job to a very satisfactory standard. He went into the loft to check for any more leaks and he cleared up leaving the area as clean as it was when he started.

After damaging my new neighbours wall the day we moved in (great first impression) ....I was left with trying to find someone to fix it Not knowing anyone in this line of work, I stumbled across this website by accident Being as sceptical as I am, My 2 biggest worries causing me stress were 1) being stitched up with price 2) having someone take the job on who wouldn’t do a good job, leading to more problems I shouldn’t have worried. Mike has been absolutely brilliant. Came out and gave me a quote (which was more then reasonable I’ll add), put me at ease straight away with the job at hand, and completed it quickly and with no issues. The quality of the job he has done is second to none. The wall is as good as new, it’s like it has never been damaged On a personal note...it’s been a stressful couple of weeks with moving and the time of year being my busiest in work etc, Mike’s professional and friendly attitude instantly removed this element of stress. Thanks very much, I will certainly be keeping your number for future reference and passing your number on to friends

Part of my kitchen wall was damp. Another tradesman had suggested that moisture might be coming through debris inside the wall cavity and that I should get someone to look inside the wall. Michael straight away noticed that there was pipework enclosed not far from the wall and correctly guessed that it had nothing to do with the cavity, avoiding the hassle and expense of removing a brick from the wall. 👍

Superb! The job has been completed to a very high standard. Great communication re booking the job. Very neat and tidied up well afterwards. Very nice person. Nothing negative.

Mike was brilliant from start to finish, his quote and price were good and his workmanship was even better. He was polite and a very clean worker, which is hard for plasterers. He turned up on time, got on with the job and was done in a few hours or so, what more can you ask for at a last minute advert. Would certainly use again as more work coming up and certainly recommend to others. Thanks Mike
