Review left on 24 Dec 2024Rating: 2 out of 5New Kitchen. Porcelain splashbackSomewhat disappointed. The mess left behind was excessive and could have easily been avoided if covers would have been used on my new wood worktops! There are gaps around some of the sockets and an unsightly stain on my oak top! The tiles were fit ok (mostly) but would have wanted more care and attention for the price paid.Answer from tradesperson:
Hi Sarah, I'm happy that you have no issue with the tiling itself. But respectfully, I have to disagree with the rest of your review. This is the only negative review I have ever had (see below). I've attached the pictures that I took at the end of your job, showing everything was left clean and tidy. You must have taken these pictures before I finished cleaning up. You'll see there are no stains and no gaps around the plug sockets, you can see dust on the worktops which does come back after being cleaned and needs cleaning a 2nd time with detergent as discussed. Also I did use covers on your worktops, it's just dust from the walls. Thanks, Luke

His work ethic was brilliant—he was focused, hardworking, and made sure everything was done perfectly. He even helped me move furniture, which was a huge help. The tiling looks fantastic, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. He kept me in the loop the whole time to make sure I was happy with everything. I will be booking him to come back after Christmas to do more tiling. Great communications with detail of what was needed and he managed a tricky uneven section in the middle very well. Fantastic attitude to his work - even came back on the Saturday to finish, and we're very pleased with the results. He gave great advice and worked fast on our job within 3 days as opposed to the 7-14 day quotes by others. I would recommend him absolutely to anyone. This man will go far. He prides himself on precision especially with his cuts. He doesn't need to have all the 'gear' but has plenty idea. I would give him 10 stars but can only do 5! He is pleasant, honest and works hard, the man is a beast of a tiler, he just gets the job done. The kitchen now looks amazing and I didn’t exactly pick him a nice easy tile either. This guy is 100% dedicated to doing an excellent job. He came to me at 10am on the Sunday morning and got the job finished at 5pm including cleaning everything after he had finished. The job he has done is of an excellent standard and i would recommend him to anyone. I think you will not find a better tiler than Luke and he his a really nice guy.
