This build has been an absolute nightmare. The job started in September 2015 for a very small extension and Chris promised it would only take around 4 weeks. Six months later and it is still not finished. Chris has been in Australia since Christmas and I am left with a huge rubble pile in my front garden, uneven flooring, unfinished surrounds and a job that defies belief. I will take Chris to court if all of the work is not remedied to a satisfactory level. Chris is great at the chat but soon you will find he tell lies to his contractors, tells lies to his customers and spins such yarn that I doubt he even knows the truth himself. I am disgusted and disappointed with the work carried out and also the way Chris has handled the complaints. It is unforgivable that the job is still ongoing and that Chris himself has not dared to come near the house to even do the 'snagging' he promised time after time. I am not a difficult customer and have been really flexible with him but my patience has worn thin. I am not the only person Chris has left in this position and I have one thing to say to any customers thinking about employing Chris Jones or Dollie Jones or Ian Jones (his name changes), DON'T DO IT.

Very pleased with the quality of the work done by Chris. My new wall is looking great. Very professional and friendly attitude and left everything clean and tidy afterwards. I would happily recommend Chris to anyone and will be using him again for other jobs I have planned.

Chris Ian Jones was employed to build shell only, double story extension. Contract was signed for labour only on 23/04/2015 finish date 17/07/2015 with weekly payments. To start with everything looked good but then two weeks before contract finish, Chris did fall behind schedule, stating that he is ill but still appearing on site now and then and still collecting weekly payments. He has failed to complete project to agreed time-scale and didn't arrange for anyone to finish the project. It was left up to us to finish his job. Chirs is in a breach of a contract stating that he is too ill to come on site himself and can't send anyone else as he does not have the money to subcontract. Chris has received all the payments agreed on the contract apart from the last weekly payment of £2000, via bank transfers and left unfinished work, some but not all listed below: 1.Patio dig out started but not finished. 2.Sokaway and retaining wall not started, left garden in dangerous state. 3.Flat roof structure built but no felt applied (had to outsource urgently) as Chris has failed to turn up on site for this job despite his promises. 4.Capping stones not done. 5.New soil pipe not installed, prevents installation of a boiler (had to outsource urgently). 6.Tidy up not done. Left house in the extremely dangerous state. Building waste inside and outside of the house. I am going through legal advise, Citizens Advice Bureau Consumer Service contacted regarding this matter and case has been set up.

Chris took down and replaced our front garden brick wall. We could not be more pleased with the stunning result. Excellent workmanship carried out by a friendly experienced bricklayer who was keen to accommodate all our requirements and Chris did so in a friendly efficient manner with absolutely no hard sell. The job was competitively and realistically priced and the the project was completed on time. Nothing was too much trouble and Chris was happy and patient enough to complete extra small jobs along the way. We have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Chris to others and would be happy to speak to any prospective customers of his. Chris has our contact details.

Chris did an excellent job, and we would have no hesitation in recommending him - in fact we have already recommended him to two of our neighbours! Chris was honest - he advised that some work wasn't necessary even though this meant that the size of the job was reduced; his costs were reasonable and openly explained; his workmanship was excellent; he was friendly and approachable; he started and finished when he said he would; and last but by no means least he tidied up thoroughly when he was finished. We were very pleased with the response we had from MyBuilder.com, and we are very grateful that it enabled us to find a builder as reliable as Chris.

Chris recently done some work for me constructing a brick bin area for a block of flats in barking,his brick work was excellent could not fault it at all,The council surveyor inspected the completed work and was very impressed Thanks chris for a excellent job Steve Loughton

Chris and his team did an excellent job rebuilding our front wall. Chris kept us informed at each stage as to what he was doing and he and colleagues were hard working, neat and tidy. I would have no hesitation in recommending him and have already hired him to do some additional work for me.
