Review left on 8 Jan 2024Rating: 1 out of 5New Bathroom to be fitted(Updated on 11 Jan 2024)I have just had the worst possible experience with Jamie Leach/Luxury Bathrooms and Kitchens Ltd. After paying a 60% deposit Jamie failed to turn up when expected to and the work was no way near on schedule by the end of the first week. After requesting him to fill out a schedule of work so I knew when he was coming the following week he refused saying "I will be on site periodically and will let you know as and when", which after the previous week I was unprepared to accept. Jamie is now refusing to repay any of the deposit (despite me offering to pay for his time and materials) and it is in the hands of HM Courts and Tribunal Service. Jamie's "gallery of work" on his website https://www.lbkltd.co.uk/gallery has a number of stock photo's he is purporting to be his own. Something that he has admitted to and has been reported to Trading Standards. Lastly, the standard of work that was carried out was of very poor and the new bathroom fitter I hired has had to do extensive remedial work. Other people have had a very similar experience of Jamie by the looks of things: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/jmlbathrooms.co.uk I am more than happy to share my terrible experience if anyone wants further information.Answer from tradesperson:
Firstly let me apologise to any prospective clients who read this review, finding good professional and courteous tradesman can be hard enough especially when inaccurate comments are posted. Please take a look at my work on my profile and website you will see the type of quality workmanship you get from myself and my company. I am also happy to share pictures of works carried out for this client as it was of excellent quality. To clarify Mr Sumnall is referring to stock items on my website a basin and a bath which we have been supplied to other clients, what he is inferring is totally incorrect all workmanship photos have been carried out by my company. Mr Sumnall was quoted for works and given a schedule of completion. He wanted to avoid paying VAT and so the contract was established through another company that is not VAT registered. Work was started and within less than a week after quality workmanship was carried out, the client reneged on several parts of the agreement and also tried to enforce changes to the scheduled completion date within the agreement. The client then cancelled the job with no warning and demanded a full refund, obviously the small amount he had paid only covered the labour for the duration of the job and therefore was not offered a refund in fact he left me with a period of no income and now a loss on the overall job which I personally had guaranteed him completion of in good time.

Review left on 1 Jan 2024Rating: 3 out of 5Fitting/replacing 3 standard radiatorsFitted 3 radiators but unfortunately all 3 developed leaks. He did try to fix it with sealant twice (as he didn't have time to refit them) but that didn't work, so I had to get another contractor to come and refit the radiators correctly to stop them leaking.Answer from tradesperson:
Thank you for the the review, sadly several factors have been left out, I was due to go back the evening of Friday 22nd to carry out a repair to the faulty parts, that had been supplied by the client. I have texts messages and photos to prove this if needed. The client had also been made aware that a simple fix was due to be carried out, before I was able to re attend, he cancelled and made me aware he had brought someone else in earlier in the day on Friday 22nd.

Review left on 8 Sep 2023Rating: 5 out of 5Replace Kitchen Sink/Units/WorktopGreat communication - very responsive. The job was completed on schedule, the result was exactly what we were hoping for with everything completed to a good standard and the agreed price. Friendly, courteous and the work area left clean and tidy. There was a minor weep on one of the factory fittings which Jamie was only too happy to come back and sort out.Review from charliedraper, Hassocks charliedraper, Hassocks
