Contact with Keiran at KT Joinery was good, date and price agreed to complete work required. The day for the work to be completed was not fulfilled , I had sent txt messages and phone calls to Keiran who eventually responded , he explained that he had gone for a P C R test . Keiran agreed to complete job on the 19th February at 10 am. I received telephone call from Keiran 9:30 am on the 19th indicating he was stuck in Edinburgh and was on his way. Keiran turned up at approx 11:30 am and proceeded to measure up. He left to go and get wood and returned around 45 mins later. The door was supplied by family , Keiran hung the door and had to leave again to pick up door handles . The work was completed approx 4hrs after starting , the work was good . The only criticism was the lack of communication on the original fitting date .Answer from tradesperson:
Hi there as i said at the time i am extremely sorry for the inconvenience but u got called out to an emergency and the traffic was really bad in Edinburgh as for having to go away and get material i didnt know what i was going to need until i started to fit the door frame and door. Keiran came out earlier than he originally thought he could be here, very polite and well mannered. Got the job done very neat and tidy. Really pleased with Keiran’s work. He took down a kitchen cupboard whose wall attachments had failed, leaving it at risk of falling off. The job didn't go ahead because Keiran repeatedly tried to increase the agreed price without even seeing what needed doing. Apparently the price of screws has increased dramatically in the space of 2 weeks and this accounted for a 16% price increase! He was also very reluctant to agree a time for a date agreed weeks in advance - the afternoon before he was due to arrive he was still unable to provide a time. Overall I found Keiran really unprofessional and I have looked elsewhere for help.Answer from tradesperson:
Hi there. The price of material has gone up if you go online and read up about it there has been a price increase in materials every month since last may. I didnt tell you a set time as i still had to complete another job and didnt know how long it would take i was going to text you a few hours before arriving. I dont think its fair to leave a negative review on my profile as i could reflect in my workmanship, as you can see i have plenty of good review on my account from customers i have completed work for. Very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Was not happy with the job he done. Also didn’t bother to try and sort it. Also tried to charge me more than what was said when he left. Wouldn’t hire again. Already had someone else out fix the job he done.Answer from tradesperson:
Hi there joanne. I told you i would come back & have a look at the parts you werent happy with and sort them out for you i havent been working the past 2 weeks due to illness. The extra charge cost was for a handle pack that i supplied for you.
