John came out the same day I got in touch and was very polite and honest and knowledgeable. He checked my roof over and said without hesitation that I really did not need a new roof and he could fix the problem. I explained to him how I had been losing sleep and worrying about it. He reassured me that it wasn’t as bad as it looked and he nearly floored me when he said how much it would be to fix, I was so pleasantly surprised at how reasonable his price was I almost cried. But to top it all he sent 2 lovely men to fix my roof the very next day bless him. I cannot recommend this company any highly with respect and gratitude. Please don’t hesitate to hire them and as Tina turner said simply the BEST. I had a a leak in a Roof that John Inspected, diagnosed and repaired within a Day of posting the Job. He was helpful, explained the issue & how to fix it. Any questions I had were answered quickly and competently.

I want to extend my gratitude to John and his team for their exceptional work in replacing the main roof of my property with SVK tiles, both at the front and back. Additionally, they reconstructed the front bay window roof and the flat roof at the rear, ensuring they are all now watertight. The reconstruction of the small flat roofs with 18” OSB boards, rubber roofs, and the meticulous finishing with trims have greatly enhanced the overall appearance. Moreover, the installation of white Facias on the front bay window roof perfectly complements the double glazed windows and doors. John provided a comprehensive and competitive quote and maintained excellent communication throughout the project, which was particularly appreciated as I am not local to the area. His regular updates saved me a considerable trip of 700km. I am thoroughly pleased with the transparency and responsiveness displayed by John and his team throughout the process. Knowing that John’s company is registered on the Fairtrade website and provides building regulations certificates further reinforces the trust in their quality of work. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the professionalism and expertise demonstrated by J & L Welch. I wholeheartedly recommend their services and have already enlisted them for another roof replacement without hesitation. I anticipate providing another positive feedback in the near future. Can't thank John enough, he was professional, honest and attentive throughout. After having a poor tradesman complete a full reroof for us last year we were a lot more careful this year, making sure to get plenty of quotes. John's quote was competitive but it was how he represented his business during the quote that set our mind at ease, presenting us with a number of options. In the end we decided to have the full roof replaced. The work was completed to a high standard and they left the space tidy afterwards. Thank you!

New roof to main roof and front porch way. Supply and erect scaffold. Strip existing main roof dispose of waste safely. Install breathable membrane felt, treated battens and eave trays. Install 1200 Marley modern concrete tiles. Install dry ridge and verge. Install all necessary lead work where necessary. Clear away all debris John's team of scaffolders and roofers completed the job within 7 working days which is a fabulous achievement when considering the atrocious gales and rain which occurred during the replacement. Everything was completed as per the quote and the price was very competitive with all work guaranteed. In a world where prices are inflated and quality of work is sometimes secondary it is good to see that companies like J & L Welch Roofing are still trading. Highly recommended.

Reasonable priced met my budget very well organised even knocked off £300 as a gesture of good will on hand over day in which I really appreciate, after being messed around by other works men giving me weather excuses John and his team came and done a fantastic job on my roof, keeping me up to date with photos all the way through. Old roof was stripped taken away and new roof was installed, feels much better and water tight. I highly recommend these guys, they know what they're doing very well and also very clean and polite. I will definitely be using them again soon no doubt!

John provided me with a wonderful service. They compared for me a complete new roof, new re pointing, new gutters, downpipes and back and from all new paving. All I can say is John & his team are very professional. Please to deal with!! Excellent works completed to a very high standard. No hassles or delays, finished within the deadlines. They cleaned and her washed everything at the end and provided me with all building regulation certificates and warranties I needed for my new roof. Honestly all I could say in most simple terms is that John provides a very high professional service and will definitely be using his services for any forthcoming projects.
