James and his team have done an amazing job of building a new garage, garden room, front garden wall and new driveway/paths. His knowledge on building and help with the project was fantastic, in addition to a host of other skilled contacts that got the job completed to an exceptional standard. I would not hesitate to recommend James and hope to use his services again on more landscaping work we have planned. Thanks for doing a great job James & GUI Team.

James was very honest about what could and could not be done given the temperature and dampness at this time of year which I found refreshing and encouraging. James was prompt to start the work on the date we agreed upon. He'd previously told me that to lay the path we'd have to wait for a period of warmer temperatures, so he built the wall and prepared the path as far as he could and covered to protect. He kept me updated on when he was going to be coming round to complete the path. On the first possible day of temperatures warm enough he was there and the path was completed in 2 days. I wish I could upload a photo to show off the work he did, it looks lovely and exactly what I wanted, thank you James. I highly recommend Grand Urban Ideas.

Very happy with the brickwork that James and Alex did to fix a bad job done previously. This was to patch up a brick wall after an old boiler had been removed. Now the new brickwork matches with the old! Very professional and would recommend.

These guys did a great job completing some work on my extension including a knock through and lintel installation, built dwarf walls, and fitted a patio. We agreed a very reasonable price, excellent quality of workmanship and completed the job on time. They turned up on time, never late, and tidied up at the end of the day. I've always been sceptical about feedback and it's authenticity so was really pleased to experience first hand that James lives up to his positive feedback. He was excellent! On day one I expected a call to say the job was rained off but James made a point of meeting me anyway to discuss the job and introduce himself which I felt was extremely professional. Luckily James was free to do the job the next day when he turned up bang on time. A really nice guy who did an exceptional job and very flexible. I already have more jobs lined up so will definitely be using James again in the future.

We needed a Garden wall re-built urgently. James responded and was able to quote us and start work within 4 days. The wall was built to a very high standard and exactly matched the brief. I hired James of grand urban ideas for a knock through kitchen diner as well as blocking up some internal doorways and a fireplace. He also laid a huge (11 metres by 4 metres) concrete slab for me and made bespoke fencing and gates for our house. What can I say? It was an absolute pleasure and as a newbie to all this stuff, James and his team made the whole experience stress and hassle free. James absolutely knows his stuff and is 100% reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable. He charges a very fair price and works incredibly hard. I know that builders can get a bad reputation but James dispels that. If you re looking for a builder or landscaper then look no further. Hire grand urban ideas. We will be moving on to phase two of our home improvements this summer which will be the garden and we alwill be getting James back to design it and do all the work. No hesitation.
