Jamie is a decent guy, no builders are perfect, but he is always ready to listen to you and put right anything that needs putting right. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone.

Jamie came on to to job at short notice. It was completed on time by his team. I would recommend and use him again in the future

If there is a better wall builder I would be most surprised. This firm should be in the Brick Hall of Fame. He oversees the project with anthority. Super guys work for him. Top quality workmanship and nice as well. Many thanks.

Local builders let me down last minute. I called Jamie, he was fully booked but to get me out of trouble they worked evenings and weekends and in the rain to get the Job done on time and I was very happy to pay a little extra for the unsociable working hours. Highly recommended.

Jamie services were used to lay the brick work and the the floor screed for a large conservatory the finish was to a very high standard. I found communications throughout the project were very good with pictures of the process being sent to me as parts where finished. I would definitely recommend Jamie and would use him again in the future.

Job completed on time and on price. I was kept informed all the way and the quality of the work was excellent. I would certainly recommend Hicks Brickwork. There next job is plastering the house.

Excellent work done to a high standard. Builders left the sight clean and tidy and we're polite and courteous throughout the job. Job was completed within the time scale quoted. Only minor point is the cost of materials quoted was twice as much as actually paid, however I did agree the quote at the outset so my own fault for lack of research.

Agreed job details and time span, Jamie pointed out it was a small job for him so no problem, our trip abroad not an issue. We were supplied a "contract" and asked for 50% cash payment up front, which we declined to do, so BACS payment made same day. . Job started 4 days late due to two vehicle issues . Jamie's father working alone for the duration of job and all trades . Could not finish job before we left for Poland, 2nd. stage not even completed (making build watertight) . We paid 2nd. stage upfront but we were instructed to make payment into a different account (Paul Hicks) we realised too late . Returned from holiday to find build still not watertight . Agreed with Jamie job would not be complete by Christmas so re- arranged for after New Year - his father then persuaded us to let him make roof watertight and finish floor . Job was rushed and finishing poor - Jamie was advised by his father we were happy . Jamie continually hassled us for payment as his dad needed money for Xmas but he was told I was not happy, listed jobs needing attention . Tiles not square to room, plaster incomplete, holes in walls not filled, wrong gutter, door not sealed,1 dryer vent not 2, vent put in at a downward slope, Velux installation bodged (told by Jamie and Paul it had been supplied without correct fittings - installed it anyway) In summary we encountered poor timing, poor workman ship, questionable payment practices - not happy.
