Building shelves on 3 walls and building new table legs

Calum did a great job creating bespoke floating shelves in two rooms and customising a dining table. There were some issues with hollow walls etc that he dealt with creatively and the finished project looks fantastic.

    Fitted bookcase
Calum and his team have done an amazing job in our living room. They built a bookcase that fit an entirely wall. We designed the bookcase and then, he help us to make it technically possible. He totally understood your project and give us some very good ideas/solutions. His decorator made an excellent finish that looks perfect The work was done to a very high standard with a reasonable price. I would definitively recommend E5 Carpentry!

hang 4 oak internal doors and fit handles

Callum came to quote for the job of buying and hanging 4 pine door and fitting brass handles, his was not the cheapest quote but he seemed want to do a good job. I was away when the job was done, but on my return I found that the door stops were too large and quite badly fitted, with large gaps in the corners and they seemed rushed. Doors were of good quality pine, but the smaller brass hinges he fitted left large gaps in the door frame which did not look great. Problems with the door frame not being square (Victorian house) meant there was a large gap under one door. I expressed my dis-satisfaction and immediately Callum offered to fix everything. He fitted smaller door stops as i requested and took much more care with fitting them this time, I agreed to leave the hinges as is, as they were good quality, but the frames would need work later which I agreed to. He fitted a draught excluder in the living room, and offered to stain the doors as compensation. I am happy with the job now, but I do feel that you should consult on all the details before starting and check the work as it is being done. Callum did a fine job, but these problems could have been avoided if everything had been discussed before and I had been there before they fitted the unnecessarily large door stops which I said I didn't want or need. His workmanship was good and Callum was determined to make everything right as quickly as possible. Consult and establish everything first is the lesson.

Need to fix poorly installed Tiles

This was a cleanup job to rectify poor workmanship from previous builder. Calum did the best he could and installed new beading to help improve the look of the shower/tiling.
