Dear Ian, I’m slightly disappointed you chose to leave this review rather than discuss it with me directly. As discussed before starting the job I couldn’t guarantee the repair due to the age of the unit and again during the job, as backed up by your own comments, the macerator was installed incorrectly originally as the original plumber cut corners. As to the job itself I had to root about in the bushes outside your house for 20 minutes trying to find the mains to isolate the water then spent more than 2 hours handling human waste to clean the unit and remove the plastic cap that was jammed in the blade. I managed to get the unit working again, stopping the leak from the shower and you were satisfied with the work and the price as you paid me. I did not guarantee the unit would survive long and that I had done everything I could do short of replacing it. When it did fail I gave you a ball park figure of the cost of replacement from the internet for the right macerator for the job and a rough cost to install it properly this time. You chose to “leave it for now” with no other comment until this negative review. If you were so disappointed in the original work then why ask me to quote to replace it? I’m sorry you feel the service has fallen below our very high standards, as you can see from our other customer reviews we’ve always had 100% satisfaction and we deliver a reasonably priced service.
