Paulius had a waiting list of 3 months but because of good reviews I waited. When he came to view the windows I said I didn't know if they needed repair or replacement. He said he could repair some of the panels, I texted him to ask if the repair would last 4 years whilst I save for replacement, he said that the work had been booked in for the day before and that I had wasted his time and he wasn't interested in coming back. I was so surprised. He didn't communicate any of this at the time. Not once did he say the work had to be done that day or not at all. I'm not a trader so I didn't know what was needed and I was trying to assess whether to get them repaired or replaced and needed his professional opinion and subsequent work. When I asked if he could do the work he said he wasn't interested but I feel his communication wasn't clear. Other window repairers come to view/quote and then do the work. He wanted to view and do the work on the same day, which is fine but he didn't say this. I'm just disappointed with the communication. I said I'd text him later to let him know if it's going ahead, he nodded and said this was fine and then sent me an upset text saying I'd wasted his time. Very confusing. Now I still need the work done and I'm left with rotten windows and the potential of another 3 month wait with another company. He feels I wasted a day but he's wasted 3 months for me and a winter with rotten windows.Answer from tradesperson:
Thanks a lot for your feedback. time has come to get a negative one, it wouldn't be a problem if i've done a bad job, but hey 😀 Yes gave you a quote 3 months ago, all really simple, wood replacement and painting the exterior. Gave you the exact date and time i will come in and start the work😊 Finally i the day came and i came over to do the repairs, just to find out that you are actually thinking of getting a new window NOW, and you will start looking for quotes as of today, so will let me know what you found later on today. You've had like 3 months to do get all the quotes and phone everyone to find out how much a new window cost, you could have decided if you want new windows months ago, before you go and book someone to do the repairs. But hey, we have to blame someone here 😀 Obviously when you got the price for a new window that afternoon, you decided to attack me with your messages to come and do the work, again. So what i will say, you should go and look at your windows( you said you didn't even look at them), before you book someone to do the work, you then go and decide whether to refurbish or get a new one, instead of blaming someone else🙈
