Have just moved into a house which felt very cold. Apparently this is a feature of timber framed houses. A representative from Evergreen Power came to survey my loft on Tuesday. It was very reassuring to know that the roof lining was in good condition as was the timber. The surveyor also took a damp reading. He explained all the benefits of using this type of insulation and although it was a lot more expensive than I had envisaged I decided to go ahead. The work was completed on Thursday and although this is quite a messy process (filling a loft with foam!!) there was no mess in my house at all. I felt the difference in my house the very first evening and am looking forward to a warm cosy winter. All the staff at Evergreen that I had contact with were very pleasant and clearly committed to this energy saving insulation. I would definitely recommend this company.

The work was surveyed a week before it was done, very competently, informatively and thoroughly. The initial quote was expensive, but I was able to reduce it by £1k, because I agreed to be one of two jobs on the same day. Two workmen arrived promptly on the day and worked very hard for the 5 hours it took to do the job of clearing old fibreglass, then applying foam to all of the internal roof. A good job was done by them both, and they were courteous, helpful and efficient. There was one issue. I had specified with the surveyor that I wanted the loft to be hoovered once the old fibreglass had been removed; I did not want to be having to breathe in fibreglass dust. However, the two workmen said that this was not part of the job they had been given, and had no machinery on their van to carry this out. I mentioned this to the company who had rung to collect payment, but no allowance for this. As a result, as 69/68 year old pensioners, we had to hoover the loft ourselves, not an easy or pleasant job for us, especially as we had been assured by the surveyor that hoovering was part of the work, and I had paid £3,000 for the work. If you deal with this company, be sure that they actually do carry out the work they say they will do. Insistence on a full written specification of the proposed job, in hindsight, would be important. So, mostly a very good job, but as I fed back to the company, and here also, in this one area, things were sadly not good, and no compensation given.

Evergreen were fantastic. Shortly after posting on here they got in touch, and arranged to send an engineer out to quote for the job. Dan was brilliant - explained the process carefully and answered all our questions. We were given a quote for the work, and then offered a discount if we were able to fit in with a space they had the following week. That suited us. Two guys arrived to do the job and were great - friendly, efficient - and tidied up completely after themselves. Our loft isn't huge, but they were in and out within around 3 hours. Can't fault the service and would highly recommend! Our loft room is noticeably warmer.

What a professional man Samuel was. He was efficient, friendly and never ripped me off like some companies tried to do. My house has it's lid to the saucepan and we are already enjoying the benefits of a warmer but 5 degrees less household. I can't imagine being cold again. Thank you for being a great company. Trustworthy and would recommend anyone to try you before anyone else. You have no intention of ripping customers off, unlike a few I could mention. Thank you again Evergreen.
