From start to finish, Michael was prompt, polite and very professional. He has done an excellent job taking out the back boiler and installing a new combi boiler and fire. He gave us very balanced advice on the range of boilers and fires available and we are very happy with our choice. I would definitely recommend Michael and would be more than happy to use his services again.

Michael responded to my problem quickly and gave me a quote up front, based on the fault being due to the ignition electrode. I wanted the job to be done by a registered gas engineer, of which Michael is. He offered to come out with no call out charge to inspect the boiler and confirm the problem. On inspection of the boiler it turned out that the fault was due to a broken fan and not the ignition electrode as originally thought, but Michael offered to repair this quickly and offered a competitive quote up front. He came out again to fix the fan and the boiler is now repaired and quieter than ever! Whilst in my home Michael was very polite, courteous and tidy. He has given me a card for any future repairs, and I have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

I booked Michael on the recommendation of a friend to install a new boiler for my parents in law. We were really pleased with him - he turned up on team, was always polite and courteous and very tidy. I have since recommended him to a couple of friends who have also been pleased what he has done. I would have no hesitation in booking him again for future work or recommending him to anyone who needed a reliable gas fitter.

My old Flavel gas fire decided to stop working at the peak of the cold snap at Christmas, just as the holidays had started. I called Michael and he came to my house within about two hours for a survey. It wasn't mega urgent we got the fire fixed but it was a priority due to teh severity of the weather. Michael arrived and was polite, courteous and very descriptive and honest with his diagnosis of the problem. There was no sales pitch or technical jargon and I felt at ease as he seemed honest and genuine - I am always worried about "cowboy" tradesmen who rip you off when you don't understand - Michael was the opposite which is why I would recommend him to others. He identified the problem with the fire, left to buy the parts and explained that it would be the following day for fitting as the parts were for an old fire and more difficult to obtain. He kept his word and returned and fitted the part and fixed the fire. He explained the costs before commencing the work and explained all of the costs - there was nothing hidden. The cost was more than fair for the time he spent and the materials he bought. His work was efficient and very tidy and I was delighted at the levels of safety checks he carried out afterwards which gave me and the family great peace of mind. Michael explained to me that he wanted his business to be built on recommendation and trust and for that reason, I would have no hesitation in recommending Gallaghers Gas.
