Matthew is friendly and his degree in furniture making gives him an advantage - he’s produced an oak herringbone parquet with contrasting ash inlay that is both a work of art and effectively a large flat piece of furniture in the way it complements the house. The matched cladding of the stairs in solid reclaimed oak is also fantastic. My only criticism is very minor - a 50cm section of inlay that is 1mm lower than the surrounding floor. Matthew’s quote was cheaper than most (only 1 of the 5 was cheaper) and I’ve no hesitation in recommending him as someone who works hard, is very skilled, has attention to detail and can achieve a high quality finish. Thanks Matthew for a great floor that we’ll enjoy for years.

Matthew was very professional, starting with a good quote on first visit and arranging a time to do the job quickly, he undertook to remove and dispose of existing laminate flooring, was happy to move furniture as needed and laid new laminate flooring and beading as required, a very cheerful person who completed the job brilliantly, even removing and trimming a door to new flooring level. Would recommend Matthew as an exceptionally professional man very capable of doing his job.
