I don't like leaving negative feedback but after several thousands of pounds spent - the roof still leaks in the same spot. I imagine it was a misdiagnosis as opposed to shoddy work - but despite several attempts to contact this company they have not returned my calls to try and fix this. I will remove this feedback if the problem is resolved but for now - I am afraid I would advise against this companyAnswer from tradesperson:
There are certainly 2 sides to relay here but I am confident of our actual works being of a very good quality and as the client states- not shoddy work. I bear no malice however its a shame that we score a negative feedback as the route back to 100 per cent requires many positive feedbacks. It must be accepted that our spec was clear and precise with our obligations met .The fact that you required we access an unsafe area via ladders at 9m high was unfair and against health and safety.I note the client did finally address the repointing to the side of the house with a very large scaffold to prove my point the additional works you required we access from ladders was unreasonable and unsafe. Its a shame I am to be penalised for being safe.

After £1000 worth of repairs our roof still leaks in the exact same spot. An independent contractor came out and told us we actually only need about £100 worth of repairs to rectify the problem. When I tried to get in touch with Fox about this I was met with silence- no answer to my calls, emails or texts. It's unfortunate because Neil is very personable and friendly; however, if/when things go wrong don't expect a reply.Answer from tradesperson:
It is a great shame that someone has a bad day and sets out to damage ones reputation.The specification and works covered many different areas of the roof and gutter to provide a fairly large overhaul.We returned as requested after one month as she believed there may still be a very small point of damp.There wasn't any to be found.It was Ms Gameets suggestion whilst on site to attend to the front bay, something entirely seperate but happy for us to do.Ms Gameets neighbour made a passing comment as to the works being carried out for £100.This was a statement said in jess by him of which I just didnt know how to answer.I am happy to attend any time to dicuss in person as I say the negative feedback is totally unwarranted and upsetting.

Great service from start to finish. The inspection of the work required was more thorough than any of the other roofers I spoke to, Fox Contracts were the only ones who actually got into a position to be able to inspect the roof properly. The quote was competitive with all the others but, more importantly, it was broken down by task with an explanation of what was needed and what was included. It also included options to reduce the cost and explanations of what was recommended as the best option. During the work, Fox Contracts were very flexible during a period of awful weather; they kept me informed throughout the work including regular updates with before and after photographs. I have already recommended the company to a friend who needs some work doing and would have no hesitation using them again. The work was rather more than the repair of a singe slate and Mr Fox dealt with it very efficiently and swiftly for which I was very grateful in view of the awful weather conditions at the time. I would certainly call on him again if necessary. He proved to be an excellent company to deal with.
