Review left on 1 Jan 2023Rating: 3 out of 5Flashing and lead work needed for terraced houseWe contracted Ashley to remove an old glass conservatory and fix a leak on our roof. Unfortunately, it was very messy getting the conservatory down as it was single pained. I think it would have been useful for Ashley to have put some sort of protective sheeting over the grass and stones - the glass went everywhere and we’ve been spending the past few weeks still picking up small pieces of glass (not ideal with a toddler and dog). However Ashley’s helper (forgot his name) tried to help as much as possible which we did appreciate. The new flashing work fitted by Ashley did not fix our leaking roof and address the problem, so we still require further work done. We understand leaking roofs can be tricky to identify but we were hoping, having spent a bit of money on this job, that it would have been resolved.Answer from tradesperson:
First of all an email would of been good to let us know your having an issue with a lead flashing we installed exactly how you wanted it as leak was already identified by your surveyor. We would then come back for Further inspection and to make sure all our customers are 100% happy and get the work to a high standard. As for the a pane of glass breaking while we were removing an old conservatory which was in a bad way and we took away all your old gravel free of charge to make sure there was no contamination of glass. So I apologise if you may have found a spec of glass. Ashley and team.

Some additional repairs made to rotten timber. Job completed and is good quality. Would recommend Ashley and Empire building. As I explained to yourselves your wife told us not to bother cleaning carpet as you were replacing. To which I received email of an apology from yourself. I gave you a further discount for any inconvenience. Job was completed and you were happy with all works.

Unforeseen issues occurred during the building work, these were dealt with appropriately and ensured we got the best results. Overall very happy with the work they completed.
