Dave gave us a very reasonable quote for rebuilding a large section of our garden wall. Work actually started much earlier than originally anticipated, which was great. Chris was doing the work and kept us updated with progress. He was very easy to get on with and friendly with people walking by on the pavement. It was a difficult job due to the location, tight space and state of the existing stone, but he managed really well. We had a 'big reveal' with some neighbours when the hessian came off, and were all really impressed. It's solid, perfectly upright, very neat, the new stone colour matches the original stone, the lime mortar pointing is a lovely colour and it all blends in really well with the existing stonework of the house and other stone walls along the street. Neighbours still tell me how much they like it too!

David and his team did a good job of repointing outside garden wall They cleaned and took the rubbish with them at the end of the job. They were respectful of the property and acted in a very professional manner Work was done was to a high standard

I would happily recommend Dave after he came with his apprentice to do some stone repairs and repointing to our first floor flat. His communication was great, explained clearly what needed done and he kept us up to date when planning to start and throughout the work. Pleasant manner and considerate to our neighbours who had the scaffold erected in their garden. He was keen that we were happy with the work and we are very pleased with end result and would employ him again.

Excellent job done!! David was professional and knew his field well - good advice regardinw when to start the job in view of the poor weather that we had recently. Most importantly, he and his team were punctual, turning up at the stated time and gave us updates all the time. Great communication and sorted out any issues that we had e.g. skip pick-up etc. The wall looks solid and the pointing looks good. Also tidied up well and left the area in good shape. Definitely will recommend David for any stoenwork and we will certainly be getting back in touch for any maintenance work that needs to be addressed. Definitely 5 stars!

Very happy with the repointing and repair work that Dave carried out on my stone garden wall. The work is to a very good professional standard, and Dave was happy to fit it in over a weekend, as he has a very busy diary. Would happily recommend.

David and his team were professional in their work. David gave me a written estimate of the proposed work and updated me when further work was required and only undertaken when I agreed to it. All the work was carried out to a very high standard. The front elevation of my red sandstone house was needing some attention : re-pointing and some stone repairs these were all carried out to my satisfaction.I would recommend David and I would use him again if work was needed on my stonework.

I am very happy with the quality of Edinburgh Stonecraft's work. The end result is a well re-pointed, 1902 stone front of house, giving it a very spruce make-over! The team were punctual each day, including a Saturday, and kept me up-to-date with progress. They were polite, approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and not over-priced. I would have no hesitation in recommending Edinburgh Stonecraft and would happily contact them again for future work.
