Ecoten Ltd responded promptly to my post on MyBuilder and Carl arrived to give a quote within half an hour. Despite being a thorny problem (a leak under a sink that had been completely boxed and tiled in, when I had no spare tiles) Carl found a vanity unit just the right size to replace the tiling and installed it neatly and efficiently, sorting out the leak at the same time. All the work was carried out to budget and completed within 3 days of my initial post. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ecoten Ltd.

Work was carried out very quickly and the price was very reasonable.

The plumber arrived exactly on time, which is unheard of for plumbers, then went out and got the parts he needed and I requested, again returning exactly when he said he would. He did a neat job, and was efficient. All on a Saturday, which was very convenient.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE OR YOUR HOME! We hired Carl and his builder Pat for a full bathroom fit which they claimed was their expertise.Turns out, Carl and his team together with Pat are a complete disgrace to their professions. Before work started they were not willing to discuss any schedule of works or provide a contract. Carl turned up on day 1 with the wrong boiler which delayed the project from the outset. He lied to us constantly and communication with us and with his own sub contractors was appaulling meaning jobs were done to a substandard level and in the wrong order. They underestimated the job, were never fully committed, would turn up late or not at all, and run off during the day to attend other jobs. They resented us when we questioned the standard of the work and very unprofessionally decided to walk away not even half way through the job taking £6500 in the process. We have since had a gas leak, problems with the boiler and have been forced to call out National Grid and a Gas Safe Register inspector to visit the property. The gas has been capped off twice due to immediate safety concerns as all works were done to such a low standard and have been written off and we need to start over again. Carl has shown gross negligence, been highly unprofessional and showed complete disregard for our welfare during this last 3 torturous months. We are now taking him to court to seek damages. Please do not make the mistake we did. Stay well away!

Ecoten are very good at what they do and they 'swarmed' over the house to get the initial work done in record time, which was very impressive. The follow-on work however, suffered delays with no communication or explanation and this soured the relationship somewhat. They are definitely good value for money but can also get very busy with other jobs (as in my case), so something to bear in mind. Also I found that the guys, when unsupervised, tended to make decisions about the placement of things without asking, or left minor things undone which needed a return trip to complete. Maybe it was just the way things turned out on this occasion, but my recommendation of Ecoten comes with a caveat...they are good value for money and will do a very good job but need to be supervised so that you are happy with what they're doing before they make it permanent. Oh, and they fit baths but not bath panels!

Very pleased with the work done. They covered all aspects of plumbing, electrics, plastering. Will use them again for new bathroom. I recommend them.
