    Remove chimney breast
    Excellent work from Dale, Tash and team. Very easy to work with and always happy to adjust to our changing requirements. Dale and his team are very experienced, regularly offer useful advice and easily find solutions to any difficult problems that arise. Will definitely use again for any future building works.

    Complete kitchen renovation
    We engaged with Dale/Natasha Dec2019 after reading the reviews on mybuilder and visiting their website. Unfortunately our experience has been a very painful one, and something we will remember for the rest of our lives (Not in a good way) - No project schedule, mis-management of our funds and not paying their suppliers/sub contractors - I could go on.... This was the experience we encountered - I would suggest anyone looking for a builder and thinking of using the renovations company please carry out due diligence - Additionally they are not members of the Federation of Master Builders, https://www.fmb.org.uk/join-the-fmb/credibility/fmb-standards-and-practice/false-claims-of-membership/ -

    Answer from tradesperson:

    COVID19 massively affected our business when we were in lockdown. This job was a domestic kitchen refurbishment in quite a small space, so impossible to social distance. As the clients were living in the house we could not continue without breaking the lockdown rules. The job was not started until late Jan, although the client is correct and we priced for the job in Dec. We did our best to accommodate and kept in contact throughout lockdown. The customer and our team were on very friendly terms and had a good working atmosphere. our suppliers were all closed and only reopened on Wed 6th May. A project schedule was provided but due to COVID19, it wasn't feasible to continue and keep to the original timescales. The client is correct regarding us not meeting deadlines but I think most companies in the UK were impacted by the pandemic. We have been on MyBuilder for 11 years and this is our first negative feedback. I can honestly say we did our best but COVID19 is far bigger than us. Daren mentions he had a ‘painful experience’. I think everyone has throughout this dreadful time. I can truthfully say I don't understand the comments re paying suppliers. We were simply asked not to go back without reason. We have not be paid by the client. I have tried my upmost to rectify the situation. Re the comments made about the Federation of Master Builders, we have never claimed to be members. But were in the past. I will check if FMB is mentioned in any of our literature.

    Side extension to kitchen and utility room.
    I am a stickler for attention to detail, so it was always going to be hard for me to be highly satisfied with everything. That said it has transformed our house into a more useable and open space and we are satisfied with the result.

    Single storey rear extension
    The Renovations Company have just finished building a single storey extension on the rear of our property and we are very happy to say that the builders that we selected from MyBuilder did the work to a very high standard. The build came in on budget and ahead of schedule. The experienced team of tradesmen were a pleasure to have around the house. A big thank you to Dale, Gordon, Carl, Tom and not forgetting Robbie and Dan. At the finish of every day, everything was tidied up and cleaned and they prepared for the next day. The build was predicted to take 6 – 8 weeks but was completed in 7 weeks which we were very happy with. Any concerns or problems that we had, both Dale and Tasha would resolve quickly and explain what the solution would be. The whole experience was very positive and we would recommend The Renovations Company.

    Removal of a first floor Chimney breast
    Our chimney breast removal was completed quickly and efficiently, with Dale and his team courteous and working cleanly and effectively at all times. They responded to our initial request promptly, and visited us at the site to discuss our unique requirements. Very impressed overall, will definitely use again for future jobs.

    Internal chimney stack removal
    I do not often find the time to write reviews, but felt impelled to do so after recent experiences. We very recently renovated nearly the entire 1st floor of our Victorian Terrace. Works included removing a chimney breast (and subsequent insertion of supporting steel for remaining stack), moving door ways & putting in stud walls. The plan had initially been for main building work only. But the team at The Renovations Company has been so professional & helpful that I requested further work be included (additional plastering & carpentry, built in wardrobes etc). Natasha who initially costed the work, was great, and throughout, was always available to answer any queries. In addition, Dale and Dan who led the build work were superb, on time each day, and always willing to explain schedule progress. As is the case with older buildings, we experienced unexpected issues and setbacks, but solutions were speedily found. Original costs were honored, and any potential increases were explained in advance. The standard of work was first rate and we are so pleased with the finish we will most definitely be booking the team for when we begin a larger extension next year. Thank you Renovations Com – stellar work!

    Extension of existing kitchen

    We employed The Renovations Company to convert what was basically an outbuilding into an extension to our kitchen. Dale and his team of builders did a fantastic job despite there being no really relevant drawings from which to work. Dale and his workers came up with innovative solutions to the many problems faced and provided advice and suggestions which enhanced our basic design thoughts. The company workers were cheerful and friendly and produced a very fine end product. Dale and Natasha dealt with the many changes that were proposed throughout the build in a friendly and cheerful manner and were generous in dealing with these changes when it came to the final reckoning. We would recommend The Renovations Company as a friendly, co-operative and skilful construction company who listen to their customers and strive to make the end product something to be proud of.     removal of wall between kitchen and dining room

    I am so pleased with the work Dale and his team have done. The work was carried out to a very high standard and nothing was too much trouble. Dale's attention to detail made all the difference and the house was always left clean and tidy at the end of each day. The team were polite friendly and punctual and Dale or Tasha were always available on the phone to answer any questions I had. I would highly recommend this company.     Floor raising by 1in, screed, underfloor heating intall

    We were very pleased with job completed by YourBuild. They were initially hired to help with a wall removal/ flooring project and ended up helping with all sorts from plumbing, electrics right through to a (very) squeaky staircase. They were very patient with us and proved excellent professional flexibility. If you are looking for an organised, prompt and reliable team which give a professional finish, then I recommend you give Natasha and Dale a call. If they can't help you, they'll be able to recommend a quality person who can. We will be looking to hire them again when we are ready to upgrade our bathroom in the future.
