We had been pondering over whether to get our boiler fixed or to buy a new one. We had just moved in as first time buyers to our new home and decided rather than keep patching up an inefficient 10 year-old boiler, we opted to replace it with a new one. We had asked around for a number of quotes from different servicemen to get an idea of boilers, work needed and cost.
Tony was very prompt to respond to our initial post for a broken boiler and on arrival kindly pointed out that we had a leaking water meter at the front of our drive, he advised us to contact United Utilities to which they came out and fixed at no cost. Tony provided a very competitive price to remove our broken down boiler and to install a Worcester-Bosch 30i boiler with magnetic filter, which included a flush of the system, and any work that needed updating to the British standard such as the flue and piping. It took a day to complete installation and he even came back the next day when we noticed that there were some cold spots on the radiators due to a build up of sludge that had not moved from the intial flush - Tony could quickly verify this issue with his thermal imaging camera. To solve the issue, Tony disconnected the radiators concerned and removed the sludge that was preventing the heat flow.
We are really happy with the new boiler installation. I would highly recommend Tony and will be contacting him again regarding future work.
