John and Darren worked conscientiously to minimise the disruptions that such a job can cause. They also coped successfully with some of the unforeseen challenges a 160 year old cottage can pose, and they managed to achieve a high quality conversion of the two rooms.
The job included removing and replacing a partition wall, re-positioning two windows, laying a new tiled bathroom floor and installing a wet room. All electrics and plumbing are concealed, and the result is much more luxurious as well as being a more logical and efficient use of space. Whilst the previous layout consisted of
a rather awkward and drab bathroom and a study-come-box room, the new design has created a very comfortable and stylish bathroom as well as a new double bedroom.
The boys were helpful in suggesting options for making improvements as the job progressed, and were very good at communicating progress. We worked well together to make the best job possible.
When the job was completed, I appointed them again to do a larger job throughout the house. They have since replastered all the walls, insulated the loft, replaced all my radiators, installed new window sills, removed an old gas fire and replaced with a new multi-fuel stove and flue, rebuilt my living room fire place and re-pointed my chimney. They are due shortly to complete the work, laying oak flooring in my living and dining room and hanging new doors.
They have demonstrated high standards throughout in their carpentry, plumbling, electrics, brickwork and plastering. Most importantly, they are honest, reliable and hardworking. They do not let their clients down.
