Daniel was easy to engage with and came round quickly to do the job and was nice and friendly. The price was good (not cheap but certainly not expensive) and he got the job done in a good time.
Unfortunately I was not at home whilst the job was being done as I had to be at work, so a friend was here on my behalf. Once I got home to see the finished job it was quite apparent that the quality of work was not good, there were trowel marks and gouges around the downlight locations as well as drag marks in other locations and the finish was quite bumpy/not as level as would be expected from a professional plasterer.
The trowel marks and gouges were not particularly difficult to fix, a little filling and sanding and it looked reasonable. However regarding the bumps and dips, this became even more apparent once painted. it's not awful but really it's not good enough either. As the property is being sold I'll just have to live with it.
I did message Daniel to let him know I wasn't happy with his workmanship and whilst he didn't have the courtesy to apologize he did say if after painting it was still bad he'd come back to look, but to be honest the only way to fix the bumps and dips would be to do the job again, which I don't have time to do, nor would I want to pay again.
Perhaps if I had of been home I would have noticed before he left and the issues could have been resolved but as it stands, unfortunately I can't recommend Daniel nor would I use his services again.
