Sonny and his team installed a new triple car driveway and added an extra dropped kerb. They did a great job as original tarmac drive was laid straight onto clay. They removed a couple of lorry loads of clay before adding a new soak away pipe and a hell of a lot of hard-core. Finished off with two layers of dry cement mix and about 4cm of rolled tarmack. Absolutely shocking!!! This job was large pathways for the small block of flats where my 92 year old Mum lives. At 92 she is not good on her feet and the original paths were in a bad state with roots from a large tree coming up and shooting everywhere, so very dangerous for anyone but especially Mum. Sonny promised that he would remove all of the roots and we wouldn't see them again. He doesn't guarantee for weeds but these are remnants of the roots coming through - they are the same as before. There was no foundation/ core laid, only the existing and the tarmac was clearly not thick enough. We were expecting the job to take at least 2 days, but it was done and dusted in 1 and a bit. It looked great for 7 months and then the cracks literally started to show. I have contacted Sonny 3 times and sent photos and he still hasn't visited to see the paths, saying it is weeds! He is good at the blarney, but the work is clearly below standard, it was the cheapest but not value for money.

Overall experience was good except did not mention VAT and suddenly after finishing the job added the extra amount and did not leave the front area cleaned. I would be much happier if everything (price was excluding VAT) was discussed before.

Very happy with the recently installed drop kerb, great job and excellent customer care. Went out of his way to do a couple of extra jobs, will definitely use County Driveways again.
