Putting aside the constantly rising estimate, or changing installation date - still a terrible experience.
A couple of days before the installation date we were asked to get in touch with the contracted plumber ourselves as the stove company couldn't get hold of them; we did, but the plumber failed to turn up as arranged; arriving a day late to look at the job.
The stove itself was installed as planned and looks great, but the plumber failed to turn up for several days, during which time we were being chased with the invoice by the company.
The plumber eventually returned, connected the stove but couldn't get the heating to work, announced they 'didn't understand the system' and left, never to be seen again. When let the company know the job was unfinished we were told that they 'had a bad feeling about the plumber from the start'. We got an emergency plumber out ourselves, mainly to check there was nothing dangerous about how the work had been left. Unfortunately the heating has not been working properly since the job started.
We thought that someone would inspect the work (given the plumber's final remarks) but on the contrary it was argued that the contracted work was completed and we'd have to get a local plumber ourselves (now at our own additional expense). In my opinion if a system is drained then it should be tested after being refilled to ensure all is working.
Heartbroken that, after £8000+ we're still without a fully functional heating system.
