Very impressed with the overall service offered by Ben of BR Services. His response to our request for a quotation was prompt, and in fact, he conducted the site survey and issued his quotation the same afternoon that we contacted him. He turned up undertake work on the day which was mutually agreed, and the work was completed to our total satisfaction. I would definitely recommend Ben of BR Services.

Ben was great to work with. He and his team put in extra effort to make sure the job was done properly. Tidied up after themselves and kept me up to date throughout. Would recommend 👍

Yes I would recommend Ben & hire again. This was a small job but his communication and reliablity was first rate, these are all things that are hard to find in this industry. The quality of the of work was good and the site and equipment was thoroughly cleaned afterwards. Thanks Ben will hire again down the line.

I was given three quotes for this job and I picked BR Services due to recommendations from this site There were various issues such as not cleaning up after themselves properly, using my shovel and spade out of the shed and leaving them caked in mortar, wanting to be paid before the job was finished etc. but the worst one was the inability to mix mortar properly, so three months on, it is full of cracks and more holes and cracks appear each time it rains. Towards the end of the job, the mortar was just slopped on and rather than use a trowel properly cyclic acid was thrown over the Indian stone to clean it off. This resulted in the paving stones turning rusty orange and they look a mess. BR Services claimed the paving stones were faulty but tests have been carried out by the supplier, (who were very helpful) and it is apparently the acid that caused the damage. Unfortunately I made the mistake of paying most of the money before the job was finished so I am stuck with the mess. For the above reasons, I do not recommend BR Services.

Ben was in contact quickly, arranged a convenient time to size up the job and started the work as agreed. His workmanship is of a high quality, he was considerate of mess in/around the work and I'm really happy with the end result. I'd have no problem recommending him and will use him for other jobs in the future. Thanks Ben.

I hired Ben to rebuild a large garden wall at a project I am completing in Harewood. The wall was leaning dangerously had poised a significant risk to those passing by. When Ben came to quote I was impressed with his knowledge & understanding of what was required when completing work of this type. He talked me through his approach in a manner that was easy to understand. Unlike other builders Ben suggested using drainage to prevent a re-occurance. Also as this is a grade II listed property, Ben, having previous experience, emphasised the need to use Lime mortar to re-point the wall. His quote was fair and so I agreed to take him on. From day one Ben and Johny, who works long side him, have been a pleasure to work with. Always friendly and polite, they made sure I was kept update on progress each day with pictures and phone calls. The work has been completed to a high standard - so much so the neighbours have been asking them to help with work at their properties. I have now hired them to re-point the whole property. Ben’s experience of grade II builds has been invaluable. Out of his own time he took a sample of the mortar to a specialist he works with so the house would be re-pointed using the original mix and would satisfy the listed building application. A testament to the high standard of work, understanding and nice nature of Ben. Overall I have been extremely impressed and happy I used BR services for this job. I would certainly recommend him to friends and family.
