Colin did a great job. I had him doing various jobs including installing a stacking kit for washer/dryer, installing a medicine cabinet, a wall bracket for a tv and a few other things. His quote was WAY below everyone else's which suited my budget. He kept disruption and mess to a minimum and communicated well. However the quality of work was only just OK. Colin seemed like a nice guy but do not trust him! He came and left having only done about a third of the job and promised to come back when plaster dried. I paid him half trusting that he needed the money to buy materials. Despite numerous phone calls during the week he did not turn up to finish the job and didn't even have the decency to let me know. He also left with some of my materials and his finishing was poor. Very disappointed.Answer from tradesperson:
I'm sorry and shocked to read your comments. I wholly will have to disagree with most of these and do not accept your summary of events.Most importantly I did not and never would leave a job with a clients materials. Please do not try to slander my name in this manner without preparing to take legal redress. The job had originally been done by another tradesman who had seriously botched the work up.I quoted for and we agreed on a price to correct this.On the day you "added on" additional work which we hadn't even discussed. You did not want to pay for this extra work to be done. You paid me for the work we agreed on after a discussion.
