This criticism is most unfair. If I left fingerprints on the cistern and footprints on the floor I shouldn't be done. I would have cleaned them if I had known but this doesn't mean the whole house needs redecorating. She said we shouldn't have been in there but it is difficult not to go to the loo for two days. In forty years of tiling I have never thrown dirty water down a toilet. We used the drain outside and hosed the area down before we left. We left the empty adhesive bags and off cuts of tiles in two piles in the garage and three cardboard boxes as the bin men took most of the cardboard at lunchtime. I would estimate it would take ten minutes to load into the back of a car to take to the tip. I have no facility for taking customer's rubbish away and nearly all my feedback says how tidy I leave their house. Before I left the house they told me how lovely the tiling was and paid me so the last thing I was expecting was that feedback. I am truly sorry if I have upset a customer but feel that everything she said has been totally exaggerated and when I told my son the next day who worked with me on the job he was gobsmacked and said it was totally unfair.
