I made him aware of when the job needed to be done for as I had a plasterer booked to come and skim the room. He turned up at very short notice on Saturday, discussed what had to be done, told me the best way to do it all then came back today with all the bits and did the work. I now have a working washing machine and dishwasher, plus he got the old outside tap working. very friendly chap, very professional.. This character is totally unreliable. We agreed for him to complete the job on Friday - even asked me to send him a text which I did. He phoned me to say if he could move the job to another day. I explained to him I had arranged for a plasterer to patch the area where the towel rail would be fitted. He came around on the Friday and said he could not complete the job because he did not have the right tools. All the fitting equipment I had ready for him. We agreed for him to call around early Saturday morning to cut and fit the pipe work before the plaster arrived. You guessed it, he didn't turn up! I did phone him and about half an hour later he returned to call claiming he was at my house with all the tools out on my front garden claiming to have phoned me and rang my bell. When I explained I was up and at home and rang my loud bell so he could hear it on the phone and he left no message he became verbally aggressive. I ended the call. A complete waste of time. Comes up with cock and bull stories and is totally unreliable.Answer from tradesperson:
In response to Steve, I agree that we rearranged to do the work on the Saturday morning but was more due to needing materials and the time frame. We were both concurred in this decision as he claimed he rose at 5-30 with out fail each morning, leaving me plenty of time to complete Saturday. I arrived promptly at 7-00 with all materials purchased the prior day, rang bell twice and called to no avail. These are the facts. As to the lamentable suggestion I became aggressive, I find this offensive as socially and at work I pride myself on being kind and courteous. I suggest looking at my other reviews which pay testament to this. I recommend that the next plumber photographs his vehicle outside the property, I wish I did. But I trust people
