Turn bathroom into wet room; change and relocate boiler
I'm a bit ambivalent. I will try to comment only on Alex's work, and not on the builder he introduced me to. Overall I was happy with the plumbing work, as Alex was cooperative, attentive and professional, and he was good to work with. He tried hard to help with every problem that popped up during the work (for example with arranging temporary replacement to shower in the kitchen). Tiling work was not very neat (to say the least), but if this had been the only issue, I would be overall very happy with all plumbing aspects of the work. But in the last couple of years since the work has been completed, I've had several leaks from the newly fitted bathroom into my living room. I always contacted Alex, and he would sometimes return after a few days and sometimes not at all; when he returned, he'd be as kind as usual but would say he was very busy and it's probably just the sealant and if I wanted to have it fixed promptly I should perhaps find someone else to take care of it. I have - once it was just part of the gap between the shower tray and the floor that was not sealed during the original work for some reason, another time some of the grout between the tiles cracked and let water through. To be honest I would expect a bathroom to cause no issues for at least a couple of years after it's done, but maybe it's too much to expect.
