Originally asked Allwood Floors to quote for fitting supplied material to the dining room and a small porch area, Nigel visited to price the job and suggested 2 alternative laminates that he could supply. He explained the pros and cons for both options and also the possible issues that could be experienced from the supplied material due to the way in which it was manufactured.
We chose the long-board engineered oak supplied by Allwood Floors - not the cheapest, but the better material for a 200+ year old cottage that has suffered with damp previously.
The floor was fitted, stained and sealed in one day with minimum disruption; Nigel even took away the old carpet and left the area clear and tidy. (Note: the new floor is lightly sanded down prior to staining/sealing which will create some dust, so remove as much from the area as possible to avoid the need to wipe down ornaments etc. afterwards!)
Very pleased with the end result and would have no hesitation in employing Nigel for future projects.
