Josh came into our house in order to take on numerous jobs, however upon completion, the final piece of work which was the skirting in the dining room was not done properly. On the floor under which the skirting sat he had laid some self-levelling compound above a chimney hearth, which resulted in an uneven floor. This left the right side of the chimney breast wall skirting board hovering approx 10mm off the floor, giving the impression that the floor is collapsing in that corner of the room. After pointing this out to Josh on the day he was wrapping the work, he said there was possibly something that could be done but that he had another job booked. Being an amiable sort, I agreed that it would be sorted at a later date. Three months later, and no communication, I texted Josh and was told that the job he was on had been extended to several months. To this day, some 18 months later, the skirting board still gives the impression that my dining room floor is collapsing and I haven't heard anything from him. Josh is a younger guy and I gave him the opportunity and the freedom to show that he could do a good job. In other areas of the house, he has done a good job but this lack of wanting to properly finish and indeed left me hanging, has left me trying to find alternatives to fixing the problem that I really don't have the time for, especially if I get told I have to take the whole skirting, architraves and floors up to properly level the area.

We hired Josh to board out all of our loft after we'd had it newly insulated. Due to the thickness of the insulation, we needed the rafters raising and boarding over so we could use the loft space for storage. Once he had completed the loft he kindly fixed my daughters wardobe which had started to lean (which during the works we found out the bedroom floor was uneven!). Josh persevered with the wardrobe, which we both became very frustrated with! Ha ha. But he sorted it no problem and the wardrobe is now good as new!! Josh completed both jobs with great care and attention to detail, and even tidied up after himself when the works were complete. The quality of his work is excellent and I would recommend him to everyone! He always kept me informed of the progress during the works, and arranging times to start the works which suited me. Am going to start making a list of joinery works i might need in the future as i know josh would complete them to a high standard and at a good price!! Thank you so much Josh :):)

We were very pleased with the quality and price of all the carpentry work that Josh did for us. We tasked him with three jobs...a wooden mantlepiece, some bespoke shelving and creating some storage under the eaves in our loft. All jobs were finished to a high standard. He is very trustworthy and always kept us in the loop about arrival times etc. One of the good guys!

I hired Josh to install 25m2 of Stranded Bamboo flooring into my living room and dining room. This involved removing the old skirting board, levelling the existing pine floorboards and then fitting new skirting and custom made edging strips around the fireplace after the floor was laid. Josh completed the job with great care and attention to detail. The quality of his work is excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend him or hire him in the future. He is clearly someone who takes great pride in his work. thanks Josh !

good worker, one of the good guys. had a few problems which were not his fault,but sorted them.

All good clean job, turned up on time, would use again and I'm really fussy about the tradesman I use, First time I would use somebody again.

Job was completed in time specified and on budget, did a great job. Would definitely use his services again.

Josh has carried out a number jobs for us over the last 12 months, most notably laying a beautiful floating oak floor in our hallway and fitting out our kitchen and utility floors with marine-ply prior to tiling; he has also hung a couple of doors for us and replaced skirting boards. The fact that we have used him so often speaks volumes for the quality of his workmanship, he has a friendly and honest demeanour and always tidies up after his work.
