In accordance with the recommendation made on the MyBuilder website, I shortlisted four locksmiths for the job. One provided a quote without visiting the site; two had arranged a visit and the remaining one was to do so.
Bogdan was the first to visit the site.
He had called to advise me that he was running some ten to fifteen minutes late and, as a result, arrived about 30 minutes later than originally expected. He was very polite and courteous.
He needed to check over the door locking mechanism to understand the problem and, as a result, realised that the problem was not as serious as, perhaps, he had expected. The locking mechanism appeared to be in order and the only item needing replacement was the door handles as something had broken inside. Having advised me, verbally, of the likely cost, I confirmed that I would like him to complete the job so he replaced the existing handles with new ones after returning all the other parts, that he had needed to investigate, to their proper places.
A job well done at a reasonable price so thank you Bogdan. I would be happy to use Bogdan again, if required, and would have no hesitation in recommending him to other customers.
