Adam went above and beyond to help installed an integrated washing machine in a difficult circumstance as he has to improvise a means of getting the job done. I hired Callum to install the waste In my shower tray, and I supplied all the materials, including the tray (£150) and the waste / trap (£40). Callum only needed to connect the tray to the trap, that was it, everything was laid out on the floor ready. It took him an hour and half, a timeframe I found more than reasonable. While Callum seemed personable and efficient during the job, I was completely taken aback when I received an invoice from Callum later that evening for £350, this equates to an hourly rate of £233 an hour, which is significantly higher than the going rate of £75-£80ph for a plumber. When I raised my concerns with Callum, he then claimed the price had been communicated through the app, which I was able to confirm had not happened. After this he quickly adjusted the invoice to £160, reducing it by £190! This sudden reduction raised questions for me about the original pricing. I would advise others to confirm prices up front to avoid any nasty surprises
