Majid was punctual and very efficient in dissembling my large wadrobe within an hour, he even travelled out to my new place which is a bit of a distance away and refitted the wadrobe the same day! Would defo keep him in mind again.

Gino and his team (particularly Mario) were great. They fitted skirting boards and decorated a new conservatory so well that I asked them to do more work. Mario decorated the bathroom, sitting room and the outside of the house. Highly recommended. Gino, at very short notice, also changed the front door lock. Excellent.

I recently hired Grande Construct Ltd to find and fix a leak, and I couldn’t be happier with their service. Hired to finish off a complete flat renovation - work mainly consisted of painting, some remedial repair work, light carpentry and a snagging list. Whilst Raj and his guy were great at light repairs, handyman and carpentry work (which is the only reason I’m even rating them with stars), their attention to detail and completion of the snagging list was very poor! Despite having discussions with me to rectify things after I showed him examples, the flat is now left with uneven paint edges, drip marks, uneven grouting, unpainted architraves and sloppy silicone work. Whilst they are good at some things, decorating is definitely not one of them, so it’s a shame and disappointing.

After posting my job Samir replied with ‘I’m working in your area at the moment just finishing a job I can come round if that’s convenient for you, no call out charge.’ However, after he phoned, I was told there would be a mandatory £90 ‘inspection fee’. He said if the job was small the £90 would go towards the total charge. He attended the flat and, in a minute or two, identified a worn-out small plastic part. He said he would charge me £20 for the part and £100 for the fix, so the total cost was £120. He completed the work in just under 30 minutes and informed me the bill was £210. I had assumed the £90 ‘inspection fee’ formed part of the payment, but he said no, this would be on top. In hindsight, other contractors had been quoting £50 per hour for labour, so the £190 I paid for half an hour was effectively almost eight times this rate. To be balanced, he was punctual, polite and competent. Overall, I would advise any potential customers to ensure you are crystal clear on charges.
