Craig has just completed painting the external walls of my house and I would highly recommend him and his colleague. Both were really pleasant and worked quickly, did a great job and cleaned up at the end of the day. Craig also did some external work on my neighbours house and she has asked me to state that she is very happy with all aspects of Craig's work. We both agreed that the prices quoted were very competitive. Another neighbour is now in the process of employing Craig too!

I come from a family of tradesmen and have been in the trade since fetching and carrying as a boy. At 16 I went to college to learn bricklaying and obtained a level 3 diploma, luckily with family in the trade there was always work and I learnt multiple skills along the way. I’ve stepped in and out of construction over the years to ‘chase the money’ I worked in the biogas sector for several years in the maintenance department as a fitter progressing to maintenance manager covering mechanical and electrical engineering including pipe work, welding, plumbing and drainage, maintenance and repair of plant machinery, HV electrical work. I gained a level 2NVQ in MIG & TIG welding an IOSH accreditation, confined space, mewps, telehandlers, forklifts. The list goes on… The ultimate handyman, I take pride in everything I do and try my upmost best to deliver a sterling job. I also have valid public liability insurance and up to date DBS. This was a large job in an unoccupied house and James took it on with a great deal of energy. I chose Herbert Homes despite him not being the cheapest quote, but because his manner when quoting for the job gave me the feeling that he would do a good job. Having had the job completed, I was not wrong. Most rooms had wallpaper to remove, there was extensive cracking in the plaster in the 8 rooms he tackled, and he was able to repair them all to an excellent standard rather than recommending they be re-skimmed, keeping costs to the quoted price. The quality of the finish is great! Considering how much there was to do, the quality is consistent and high throughout. He was honest and up-front with me throughout, keeping in regular touch over text/whatsapp while he worked. I would highly recommend!
