I'm a cabinet maker, carpenter and joiner with over 20 years experience in woodworking. I specialise in fitted furniture, wardrobes, alcove storage and hand built kitchens but am happy to take on carpentry and joinery jobs too. I've been self employed for around 5 years and previously worked for Sustainable Kitchens in Bristol and before that Ashwood Interior Woodcraft in London after completing my NVQ 2 in cabinet making at Leeds college. I have worked in the construction industry for over 20 years and specifically in woodworking for over 17 years. After completing a two year City&Guilds qualification in furniture making and installation I have worked for joinery and building companies covering all aspects of woodworking, both as an employee and on a self-employed basis. I have pretty much done everything from cutting in the roof carcass to fitting the floors and skirting, along with everything in between. I particularly enjoy 2nd fix work as that requires the most detailed work and is satisfying, but I am equally at home doing 1st fix work. I have been fortunate enough to work on some prestige projects, especially when I worked for a local building firm in the role of head carpenter and site supervisor. During that time I was able to train up an apprentice and pass on the knowledge and skills I have gained over the years.
