We had two doors fitted and during the process we had quite a good experience. He did most of the work but was unable to finish everything because he needed to leave but agreed to finish the job when he came back for fitting the remaining doors. We paid him in full for the two doors but then he later increased the price for the remaining doors and also did not come back to finish what I thought was agreed on the two doors that were fully paid up.

Martin is hardworking, honest, saw a jovial side and detailed oriented tradesman - a true perfectionist. Not only is he highly skilled in his craft he's also a "Jack of all trades" who can handle any task thrown his way. Throughout the project, Martin kept me informed at every step, making sure I was satisfied with each phase. There were a few minor hiccups (mostly on my end), Martin handled them with professionalism, corrected the issues and managed to keep on track, ensuring he met his high standards. Really great guy who did a superb job. We supplied the flooring and his initial quote and guess of how long the job turned out to be a bit optimistic (not his fault - the flooring had been in storage a while and was hard to lay.) Nonetheless he was going to honor the original quote (itself very reasonable) though we insisted he take a bit more since he had to come back a second day and instead of a day the whole job took more than half a day more. He is polite, positive, and clearly something of a perfectionist...he relaid one of the boards on the second day because of an imperfection which we hadn't even noticed.Communication was always good and he turned up when he said he would - even when he had to return to complete the job. Based on my experience I would recommend him enthusiastically.
