Andrew built a media wall in our living room, including a faux chimney breast, floor-to-ceiling shelving and fitted cabinets. He also extended existing wall panelling in our converted garage where built-in units had previously been removed. The main carpentry work was good and the media wall was built as we had hoped. It feels solid, sturdy and well constructed. However, I was disappointed with the finishing work, particularly in the garage. Part of the agreement was to make the walls ready for decoration after the removal of units and electrical work, but the filling was rough, some filler came loose, and many areas had not been properly sanded. There were also noticeable gaps around the panelling and skirting, which remained untidy even after a return visit. The project was also not left particularly clean, with a significant amount of sawdust and debris remaining, especially in the garage. Overall, good construction work, but the finishing and details fell below expectations.

Job was finished at the end of March, and i could not be happier! Alex gave me confidence from the first visit that he knew exactly what needed to be done, and could answer any questions i had (unlike some other companies). The price was very competitive, not the cheapest but i wanted to make sure it was done right - and it most definitely was. There were some unforeseen electrical work that needed doing, which i was worried was unnecessary, but i took the time to research the new standards and it was necessary - which again made me confident the job was being done properly. The job included a complete rip out of the old kitchen including new plaster, new wiring and sockets (including new consumer unit & RCD), new flooring, removing all the old units and fitting all the new ones. The job took longer than expected but Alex was more concerned with quality and so was i, so i was happy with this instead of rushing. The finish was great. After it was finished Alex asked me to inspect in detail and he would come back the next week to rectify and small details which i really appreciated. There were a couple of small things which he was happy to fix, and now 2 months later the kitchen still looks immaculate! I fully recommend Alex and his team!

Very neat job by Lee and his workmate. He arrived on time, worked hard through the day and faced some difficult challenges due to the walls and ceiling in our back bedroom being anything but level and plumb! The end result, though, looks wonderful and we now have one useful storage cupboard and one wardrobe, both finished off with stylish sliding doors, where we used to have two ugly alcoves. From initial quoting through to the finish, he was polite and courteous. I would certainly recommed his work to others.

Mark, has completed the kitchen install to a very high standard and managed to overcome all the issues big and small you don’t consider that will arise as a customer. To think I had considered doing it DIY, thank goodness I didn’t! He worked all day and and even stayed late to ensure it was finished off, keeping everything neat and tidy, creating a perfect finished kitchen. Mark even returned a week or so later at no extra charge to finish some extra detailing after other trades has been in and made some improper adjustments. Having project managed a double storey extension project for the last couple of years, Mark is by far the standout contractor delivering excellence in his work and exceptional value for money. Highly recommend and would use again for any other carpentry work.
