I am very humbled to have met Melvin (HM Building & Maintenance)and his team. They were very easygoing, punctual, and professional. They gave me advice on the best course of action to achieve the desired outcome of my project, which included fitting a new kitchen cabinet and tiles, removing obsolete copper pipes and tidying them up to create a much more modern kitchen, and boxing up all the pipework, which looks great. Even better, going beyond defined to ensure a satisfactory service and outcome. I consider myself lucky to have met such a kind, dedicated, professional, experienced, and efficient builder like Melvin (HM building & maintenance). And not avaricious in any shape or form. I won’t recommend this man. I delayed putting something up till now thinking he will come back. Hired him in 2022 /2023 to install my kitchen and flooring. He was bad at time keeping and will disappear for few days once part paid. He worked alone and took a long time on the job. I later paid him labour and materials to work on my daughter’s property, he left both jobs uncompleted and despaired with money paid for some materials and upfront labour costs.

We contacted Jon for replacing our integrated washing machine, fitting shelves in a storage area and fixing the loft ladder. He came over on time and completed the work with very good quality. Although this was the first time we met him, he came across very friendly, was proactive in suggesting things and patient enough to answer all our queries.
