I must admit that I was sceptical that Jason could do what he claimed to be able to do: quickly produce the necessary drawings without actually visiting my property, thereby undercutting many of his competitors. The feedback on MyBuilder all seemed a little too good to be true! Managing to speak to one of his former customers (thanks, Dee!) set my mind at rest, though.
As for the work itself: within half a day, Jason had produced an outline ground floor plan based on nothing more than the four photos I'd emailed him; within 24 hours he'd converted this into a workable detailed plan and front elevation using the handful of measurements that I'd given him; and within 72 hours (despite working over the weekend) had pulled them together into, and submitted on our behalf, a full planning application.
Jason makes his living through high-volume (c.5 applications per week) but nevertheless high-quality work, putting years of experience of the planning process to efficient use. Provided you don't find this off-putting, you can rest assured that Jason is the draftsperson for you!
