Review from tucker_20, Balham Hill, London Review left on 17 Mar 2018Rating: 5 out of 5Fitting of Shower closureThis Fitting of a replacement Shower closure of a larger size was done efficiently and speedily, and I am very pleased with the result. It was thought through in detail in the buying of it to fit precisely, and then the installation ...and at a reasonable price. I would certainly recommend his work, attention to detail and his reliability.Review from julie_813, Streatham Hill, London julie_813, Streatham Hill, London

Review left on 30 Jun 2017Rating: 5 out of 5Refit Ensuite BathroomPeter completed the job to a very high standard. His attention to detail was excellent and his workmanship exemplarily throughout. Due to the ensuite being small and in the main bedroom we were concerned about mess however Peter works very tidy and efficiently. He was very competitively priced and we would hire him again in an instant.Review from felicity_brown, Balham Hill, London felicity_brown, Balham Hill, London

Review left on 20 Mar 2017Rating: 5 out of 5Full refit of bathroom & tilingPeter did a fantastic job - great finish and he took real care to ensure we were completely happy with the bathroom - the job didn't feel rushed at all. He also made suggestions where appropriate, and left the place clean & tidy. We will definitely use again for our plumbing needs - we have since engaged Peter to flush our boiler system, and again he did a great job at a reasonable priceReview from Customer of AugustECO Heating & Plumbing Customer of AugustECO Heating & Plumbing

Peter did a great job completely refitting and decorating our en suite bathroom. He was flexible when some fittings were delivered late and provided solutions to problems we came across. The work looks great and we are really happy with the result. Peter is a lovely guy and of all the tradesmen I have worked with in the past year I would happily recommend him.Review from mario_49, Stockwell, London mario_49, Stockwell, London
Review left on 30 Nov 2016Rating: 1 out of 5bathroom fitting job(Updated on 5 Dec 2016)I don't like leaving negative reviews, but the reason here is very simple: Peter's work was very poorly done.He seems good, nice guy,but simply not particularly good at his job.He was charged to re-do my small bathroom in a 1bed victorian flat. It all looked nice and shiny initially, then 2 wide cracks appeared on the floor tiles, which according to another person I brought in imply the underfloor was not built properly. This has caused an unrepairable damage given the only way to repair it is to re-do the floor again (one of the reasons why I had hired Peter in the first place!). Now a wide portion of paint and is actually falling off the ceiling. This is all happening just after 6months the work was completed.I asked Peter to have a look at the cracks, but he hid behind his "6month guarantee" arguing it can happen. The damage is now so extensive that it may just hire another person to re do it allover again. Conclusion, DO NOT HIRE HIM, if you want your bathroom to last more than 6months.All his positive reviews are based on the first week post work, when it all looks nice and shiny.Besides this,he is pretty bad at time management. He underestimated the time it would take to finish and booked his holidays for the completion day.So he left and we had to wait another week for the work to be completed. Finally,he is not cheap, so you may as well go somewhere else. thanks for reading.Answer from tradesperson:
I'm sorry to hear this customer decided to leave this feedback. I was clear throughout that as the property is close to train tracks, movement and cracks would be inevitable. I installed marine boards to compensate for some of this movement, but budgetary concerns meant that I was unable to install any extra underlay. It wasn't ideal, but the best job was done given the circumstances. This work was done for an extremely low price, with the customer using my trade accounts in order to get materials at vastly reduced cost. It's unfortunate that they weren't happy, but I did my best to manage the customers expectations, and would encourage anyone considering hiring me to look at my other reviews for many comments from very happy customers.

Review left on 3 Nov 2016Rating: 5 out of 5Alterations to en suite bathroomI contacted Piotr (Peter) Augustowski about a bathroom project involving removal of the bath, retiling where necessary and installing a shower tray and glass screen plus an electric pump. Piotr impressed on his initial visit with his practical approach, sensible suggestions on how to overcome problems and general air of competence. We proceeded on the basis that I ordered and paid for the major items, took delivery at my home and then paid Piotr a previously agreed sum for his time/labour installing them. He e mailed me with helpful suggestions as to where these items might best be sourced online. The work was carried out over three sequential days. Piotr executed a sound, good quality workman like job which left me fully satisfied. I was particularly impressed by the way he dealt with some complex pipework in a very constricted area. The overall cost was less than one third that which had been quoted to me by a couple of shower installation specialists who advertise nationally. If asked to recommend a plumber I would happily suggest Piotr particularly with regard to bathroom projects which I understand is the area in which he now specialises and where he appears to have very considerable experience. Peter has done a brilliant job of our bathroom. On first meeting Peter he came across as happy & friendly and this continued throughout the week. When removing our bath there was a lot of extra work that needed to be done to repair the wall and Peter took this in his stride. Peter went above and beyond what we asked him to do and the end result has been really great. We would definitely have Peter back to do more work as he is really trustworthy. Thank you Peter!
