Hired Steve to re-route some pipework in my mum's garage. He contacted us promptly to arrange a suitable time to give us a quote. He turned up when he said he would...which is always a good start! The quote was very reasonable and Steve stayed and completed the work there and then. My mum (83) was very pleased with him while there and even asked him to have a look at another unrelated job for her which he did and also completed. Very pleased with the work done. Would definitely recommend to others and will definitely be using him again. Thanks

I was very impressed with Steven and the service he's provided so far. He arrived on time, completed what he could on the day and would be coming shortly to finish off some other jobs that have cropped up in the meantime. Steven is very efficient, explains what needs to be done, gives good advice. I asked him to rehinge and fix two doors, reseal round the bath and basin, which was done on the day. He will be coming back to replace a UPVC window in the bathroom, an extractor fan and two ceramic washers. I've already got a few more less urgent jobs in mind, hope our business relationship will continue for some time now.

Steve did a great job and despite the inclement weather lately managed to get the external repair work to the garage completed before Christmas. He is very accommodating, willing to build into his schedule smaller jobs that other tradesman may have thought unacceptable e.g. service of the gas fire, putting up curtain rails and repairs to garden gates. He kept me fully informed of when he'd be able to do the work, having previously consulted the weather reports (!) He is very professional, I will definitely be asking him to do more work for me should the need arise.

Steve is a very personable young man, who is extremely helpful and a very good worker. He completed the job and we now have a nice warm house. I was quite happy with his charges and would definitely recommend him.

I believe in leaving an honest feed back so here it goes... Steve was only person who contacted me to say he wanted job first time I spoke to him he said he would call weds or Thursday morning to give a a free quote I rang him weds afternoon as I was asked to work Thursday but this was ok as he couldn't call till Fri afternoon.As I was in work Fri my partner re arranged his plans that night and I wasn't happy to come home to find he hadn't arrived so I rang him and he told me he wasn't going to make it , he eventually arrived saturday talked us throu what he thought are problem was and the cost of repair. He made a call while here for the parts n said he would be back Monday morning to carry out job but Monday morning I got a call to say the parts wernt in the shop when he went to pic them up (not his fault but annoying ). Ill be honest i lost my confidence in steve and wether he was ever going to complete the job but i had no other offers and i felt he was being ohnest when we spoke to him.he eventually arrived following Fri and wer were more than happy with the work he carried out and he did say we have a 12 month garantee. Overall he's good honest worker n i DONT feel he riped us off but dnt get ur hopes up of him turning up when he says so.

I purchased a high quality stone fireplace online, which, when it arrived, was extremely heavy and came in many pieces. Clearly it would require someone with great knowledge to fit it correctly. After looking through the My builder website I contacted Steve from SMB for an estimate. After he had been out, explained the job including the do's and dont's of fitting pre-cast stone fireplaces, he quoted an all inclusive price which was reasonable. The work has now been completed and what a fantastic job he did. He is a pleasure to employ and his work is of the highest quality. I cannot recommend him highly enough! *****star tradesman
