Thanks to Sam and his team, I can finally sit in my new extension during rainfall without worrying about water pooling above the ceiling, and the lasting damage that will eventually bring.
We had leaks/damp patches on the ceiling of the extension after even light rainfall for 5 months, since construction was finished. The building company responsible have proven incredibly slow, disorganised, and evidently incompetent throughout their failed, sporadic efforts to rectify it.
I picked Sam on the basis of his experience, which was immediately apparent. He dropped by the day after I shortlisted him, immediately recognised the problems and provided a quote on the same day. His proposal was also less extreme that other suggestions that we just replace the entire roof, and the work was done in a day.
It took a while for Sam's crew to start because of poor weather in mid-late March, and they needed to pop back to fix one thing (the roof lantern - poorly sealed by the original builders - was apparently another a source of leaks). Since then, there's not been a single leak during subsequent rainfall and impromptu water tests.
It's also clear to me that they take the 20 year warranty seriously, so I feel confident that if anything did go wrong, they'll be there quickly and they'll do a good job.
There's a very good reason they're so well-reviewed on MyBuilder/Checkatrade; I highly recommend and will definitely hire Sam et al again for future work.
