Roy was made aware of the urgency of the main repairs, as it was still winter and raining regularly, we didn’t want the new bathroom ceiling spoiling right away since it was freshly plastered. We explained to Roy we wanted quality work. Roy was brimming with confidence at first. When his quote came it was very expensive, I did ask Roy how much work he thought it would be. He said at least 2 days. His quote was £1500. This was for him and a helper. Roy “Completed” his initial work in one day we were quite surprised again. He had implied that the work he intended to do would be more of an undertaking than the work he actually completed. I suspect this was to justify his heavily inflated quote. In the quote Roy clearly states he guarantees his work for 10 Years. I can say that his first attempts did not even last 10 hours. All subsequent attempts did not last any significant length of time either. He did come back and did make 4 attempts at repairs to the problem areas, but each time failing. All I can say is that his work is very much attempts at “quick fixes” (bodges). Not using original or correct materials for the job. Not diagnosing the reasons for leaks correctly. Not investigating properly. Roy worded his quote very carefully as to not commit to any specific type or quality of repair. Roy has ignored all contact once I started asking for a refund on the failed work. So in the end the whole thing was a complete waste of money. Hi "guarantee" is fake. Avoid!

Work was very quickly and efficiently done and it seems to have cured the problem. The cost was extremely reasonable and I would hire him again for any similar work.

Roy attended my property to view the work I required doing after I had had advice and quotes from 5 other people.( I have some experience of re pointing work but don't have the tools required to dig out old mortar so knew who was trying to fob me off). He was courteous and gave me a price for the exact job I required (which was bigger than I had originally put on my builder). As his quote was what I had expected to pay I agreed to hire him on the spot. He came the following day and completed the work, clearing away the mess and the remnants of mess left from a previous job. I will recommend him to any friends that require brickwork completing and would certainly hire him again.

Unfortunately due to time constraints we were not able to get the job completed in time. As a result had to let Roy go. Nice guy who came out quickly but due to unfortunate incident was unable to complete the job.
